Surveying & Data Collection

  • Conduct site surveys using total stations, GPS, drones, levels, and other modern surveying instruments.
  • Establish control points, benchmarks, and reference markers at project sites.
  • Measure and record land elevations, boundaries, contours, and features.
  • Prepare and maintain topographic, hydrographic, and volumetric survey data.

Construction Projects

  • Provide precise survey data for layout, alignment, grading, and excavation works.
  • Verify that structures, foundations, and utilities are positioned according to approved plans.
  • Monitor site progress and ensure survey accuracy during different stages of construction.
  • Assist in resolving discrepancies between design drawings and on-site conditions.

Mining Projects

  • Conduct pit, quarry, and open-pit surveys to determine excavation limits and mine development plans.
  • Perform volumetric surveys for stockpiles, ore bodies, and overburden removal.
  • Generate and analyze survey models using SURPAC software for mine planning and production reporting.
  • Maintain updated survey records of mine development, haul roads, and safety berms.
  • Support mine planning and engineering teams with accurate survey data integrated into SURPAC outputs.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Process survey data using CAD, GIS, and SURPAC (for mining).
  • Prepare detailed survey reports, site maps, drawings, and digital models.
  • Maintain accurate survey records and databases for project reference.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all surveying work adheres to project specifications, industry standards, and government regulations.
  • Follow safety protocols in construction sites, mining pits, and hazardous environments.
  • Participate in toolbox talks and site safety meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Geodetic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in surveying for construction and/or mining projects.
  • Proficiency in SURPAC software for mine survey, design, and volumetric calculations (required for mining projects).
  • Skilled in surveying instruments (Total Station, GPS, Drone Surveying, Level).
  • Knowledge of CAD and GIS applications.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, layouts, and maps.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in remote construction sites and mining locations.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
