Role Description

This is a contract, on-site role located in Taguig for an IBM System I RPG IV Developer. In this role, the developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining applications on the IBM System I platform (previously AS/400). Day-to-day tasks include writing RPG IV programs, debugging existing systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, and ensuring application performance and security standards. The developer will also engage in troubleshooting and providing technical solutions to fulfill client requirements.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in RPG IV programming, IBM System I (AS/400), and CL programming.
  • Experience with database management on DB2, SQL integration, and data manipulation.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving capabilities for legacy systems.
  • Understanding of business processes and ability to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and adaptability in a collaborative environment.
  • Experience in the financial, healthcare, or e-commerce domain is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
