Hospital Engineer

About the role

Sto. Tomas Doctors Hospital And Medical Center Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hospital Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Hospital Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of the hospital's infrastructure, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our patients, staff, and visitors. This is a full-time position based in Santo Tomas City, Batangas.

What you'll be doing

1. Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans for the hospital's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
2. Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance technicians and contractors to ensure all equipment and facilities are operating at optimal levels
3. Regularly inspect and assess the condition of the hospital's buildings, equipment, and infrastructure, identifying and addressing any issues or areas for improvement
4. Collaborate with the hospital's management team to plan and execute capital improvement projects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
5. Manage the procurement of equipment, materials, and services required for the maintenance and upkeep of the hospital's facilities
6. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and project progress
7. Respond promptly to emergency situations and coordinate the necessary repairs or remediation efforts
8. Continuously explore and implement new technologies and best practices to enhance the hospital's energy efficiency and sustainability

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with a specialization in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Management
2. Thorough understanding of building systems and infrastructure, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and medical equipment
3. Strong project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
5. Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development
6. Familiarity with relevant healthcare regulations, building codes, and safety standards
