Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring financial transactions and reports.
  • Recording Financial Transactions: Accurately record all income, expenses, and financial activities
  • Maintaining General Ledger: Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger by reconciling accounts and correcting discrepancies.
  • Preparing Financial Statements: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage payroll operations, including calculating wages, withholding taxes, and issuing payments.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements with internal records to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Budget Monitoring: Assist in tracking budgets, identifying variances, and recommending adjustments.
  • Expense Management: Monitor expenses and recommend cost-saving measures.
  • Tax Preparation: Collaborate with accountants to prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Track invoices, payments, and overdue accounts.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in accounting or business administration.
  • Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping software.
  • At least 5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in power plant operation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of work.
  • Experience with accounting software is a must.
  • Able to prepare, review and understand a financial statement.
