Responsibilities:
- Monitoring financial transactions and reports.
- Recording Financial Transactions: Accurately record all income, expenses, and financial activities
- Maintaining General Ledger: Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger by reconciling accounts and correcting discrepancies.
- Preparing Financial Statements: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage payroll operations, including calculating wages, withholding taxes, and issuing payments.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements with internal records to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Budget Monitoring: Assist in tracking budgets, identifying variances, and recommending adjustments.
- Expense Management: Monitor expenses and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Tax Preparation: Collaborate with accountants to prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Track invoices, payments, and overdue accounts.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in accounting or business administration.
- Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping software.
- At least 5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in power plant operation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail and accuracy of work.
- Experience with accounting software is a must.
- Able to prepare, review and understand a financial statement.
