What will you work on?
  • Design, build, and maintain robust backend services using Go.
  • Develop, test, and optimize RESTful APIs ensuring seamless integration with frontend interfaces and third-party services.
  • Create responsive, modular, and intuitive web interfaces using React.
  • Integrate frontend components seamlessly with backend services and APIs, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Ensure high performance, reliability, security, and scalability of full-stack applications.
  • Implement robust testing strategies for frontend and backend components.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product managers, designers) to deliver features aligned with business objectives and user requirements.
  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize system performance using Datadog for monitoring and Heap for analytics.
  • Contribute to continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) workflows.

Our Stack:
  • Frontend: JavaScript, TypeScript, React (legacy system using Ember), TailwindCSS.
  • Backend: Go (legacy system using Haskell), PostgreSQL.
  • Infrastructure: Kubernetes on Google Cloud Platform, Git & GitHub for collaboration and CI/CD.
  • Monitoring & Analytics: Datadog, Heap.

About You:
You are an experienced full stack engineer proficient in both frontend (React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS) and backend (Go, RESTful APIs, PostgreSQL) development. You have a deep understanding of frontend technologies, responsive design, and UX principles. Additionally, you possess strong knowledge of backend architecture, microservices, distributed systems, and containerization.
Familiarity with frontend testing tools and observability tools like Datadog is important to you. You have solid experience with Git and GitHub workflows and are committed to writing clear, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Your excellent communication and teamwork skills enable you to effectively collaborate across teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user requirements.

Benefits:
  • 100 % remote – work where you're happiest.
  • Competitive salary: ₱150,000 - ₱300,000 per month (or local currency equivalent, commensurate with experience).
  • Monday to Friday, mostly within Philippine business hours. Weekend or outside business hours in exceptional circumstances only. We are headquartered in Australia, with a local presence in the Philippines.
  • Betterteam also offers 20 days of paid vacation per year and 10 days of paid/sick personal leave per year, plus paid public holidays.
