About the Role:

  • We are looking for a highly motivated Sustainability or Mechanical Engineering Consultant with proven experience in Green Star or LEED certification processes and a strong background in energy modelling. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals passionate about sustainable building design and energy efficiency in the built environment.

  • You will play a pivotal role in advancing our sustainability initiatives, using advanced simulation tools to evaluate building performance and support environmental certification goals for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining energy models for green building projects.

  • Performing energy simulations to assess the impact of design choices on energy consumption.

  • Analyzing energy performance data to identify areas for improvement and develop energy-saving strategies.

  • Preparing reports and documentation for LEED and Green Star certification.

  • Collaborating with project teams to ensure that design choices meet green building standards.

  • Ensure compliance with Green Star, LEED, and other environmental performance standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in energy modelling or building performance analysis.

  • Proficient in tools like IES VE, EnergyPlus, DesignBuilder, or similar.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid setting if required.

  • Demonstrated project experience involving Green Star and/or LEED rating systems.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a consulting environment.

  • Familiarity with building codes and additional sustainability rating tools such as NABERS or BREEAM.

  • Experience contributing to Green Star Design & As Built or LEED Building Design and Construction (BD C) projects.
