Job Description:

The Senior/Lead SAP Ariba Consultant is responsible for driving end-to-end SAP Ariba solution delivery across procurement and supply chain functions. This role provides strategic guidance, leads implementation teams, and ensures Ariba solutions are aligned with enterprise objectives and industry best practices. Acting as the primary functional expert, the Lead Consultant partners with business leaders, architects, and technical teams to deliver high-impact procurement transformations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Consulting & Solution Leadership

  • Serve as the primary procurement technology advisor to clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Lead requirement-gathering workshops, process design discussions, and solution roadmap planning.
  • Translate complex business needs into scalable SAP Ariba solutions aligned with Source-to-Pay best practices.
  • Recommend process improvements, automation opportunities, and Ariba capability enhancements.

2. End-to-End SAP Ariba Delivery Oversight

  • Lead full lifecycle implementations for Ariba modules such as Sourcing, Contracts, Buying & Invoicing, Supplier Lifecycle & Performance, and Ariba Network.
  • Oversee configuration, testing, deployment, and cutover planning.
  • Ensure all project deliverables follow governance standards, documentation guidelines, and compliance requirements.
  • Provide quality assurance checks on junior team members' configurations and functional outputs.

3. Integration & Technical Enablement

  • Collaborate with SAP S/4HANA, middleware (SAP CPI), and integration architects to design and validate end-to-end Ariba integrations.
  • Troubleshoot complex integration and data flow issues related to master data, workflows, and transactional processing.
  • Coordinate technical enhancements, customizations, and interface developments with IT and development teams.

4. Stakeholder Management & Leadership

  • Act as the key point of contact for client executives, procurement leads, and IT leadership.
  • Present solution design recommendations, project statuses, and risks to steering committees.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective change management and system adoption.

5. Testing, Training & Adoption Enablement

  • Lead creation of test plans, UAT cycles, and cutover strategies.
  • Oversee development of training materials and deliver high-quality knowledge transfer to end users and support teams.
  • Ensure smooth post-go-live stabilization and continuous process improvements.

6. Support, Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide Level 2/3 expert support on high-complexity issues and root-cause analysis.
  • Stay current with Ariba release updates and new functionalities, advising clients on adoption strategies.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge assets, best practice playbooks, and reusable solution templates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years experience in SAP Ariba implementations, with strong expertise in at least two Ariba modules.
  • Proven experience leading implementation teams or workstreams in Source-to-Pay projects.
  • Deep understanding of procurement processes (S2C, P2P, Supplier Management) and system integrations.
  • Strong client-facing, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred

  • SAP Ariba certification (Sourcing, Procurement, SLPM, or Contracts).
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA integration and SAP CPI.
  • Background in consulting or multinational environments.
  • Experience mentoring junior consultants or managing small project teams.
