Role : SAP MM Techno- Functional Consultant

Job Description:

An SAP MM techno-functional consultant job description includes implementing and configuring

the SAP Materials Management (MM) module, handling master data, and resolving technical

issues through an understanding of both business requirements and ABAP programming. Key

responsibilities involve gathering client needs, translating them into functional specifications,

collaborating with technical teams on ABAP developments, performing unit and integration

testing, providing user training, and supporting the system post-go-live. The role bridges the gap

between functional business processes and technical development to create and enhance SAP

solutions.

Core responsibilities

Functional:

Gather business requirements and conduct fit-gap analysis.

Configure the SAP MM module, including Purchasing, Inventory Management, and master data

(material, vendor, etc.).

Troubleshoot and resolve issues, performing root cause analysis.

Create functional specifications for technical developments.

Perform unit and integration testing.

Technical:

Work with ABAP developers to create new reports, enhancements, and layouts.

Debug ABAP code to resolve technical issues.

Utilize tools like LSMW for data migration.

Support and Training:

Provide end-user training and prepare user manuals.

Support business users during testing phases (e.g., UAT).

Provide ongoing support and system administration.

Key skills

Strong functional expertise in SAP MM, including customizations and master data.
