The Editor/Videographer (Project-Based) is responsible for producing high-quality video and photo content that captures the mission, projects, and brand story of Data Lake, Inc. This role involves shooting, editing, and delivering engaging multimedia content for campaigns, corporate communications, social media, and events. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with strong technical skills and the ability to translate marketing concepts into compelling visuals that support the company's goal of bridging the digital divide with Starlink.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Video & Photo Production
- Plan, shoot, and edit video content for marketing campaigns, product launches, installations, events, and social media platforms.
- Capture high-quality photos for use in PR, marketing materials, and internal communications.
- Operate cameras, lighting, drones, and other production equipment as needed.
Editing & Post-Production
- Edit raw footage into polished videos that align with branding and campaign objectives.
- Add motion graphics, animations, sound design, and effects to enhance storytelling.
- Ensure timely delivery of video/photo assets with attention to detail and creativity.
Content Development & Collaboration
- Work closely with the marketing team and content creators to conceptualize and execute video campaigns.
- Support storytelling through documentary-style coverage of deployments, installations, and community impact projects.
- Repurpose video/photo content into multiple formats for different platforms (e.g., reels, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, website).
Brand & Quality Control
- Maintain consistent style, tone, and branding across all video/photo outputs.
- Archive and manage video/photo libraries for easy access and reuse.
- Ensure all outputs are optimized for digital platforms (compression, aspect ratios, resolutions).
On-Site Coverage
- Travel with the Operations and Marketing teams to document Starlink installations, activations, and nationwide events.
- Capture interviews, testimonials, and behind-the-scenes footage for storytelling purposes.
- Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Arts, Film, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of professional experience in videography, photography, and video editing.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, or similar tools.
- Experience in color grading, sound editing, and motion graphics.
- Strong portfolio showcasing video and editing work.
- Knowledge of camera operation, lighting setups, and audio recording equipment.
- Familiarity with social media video formats, trends, and engagement strategies.
- Excellent storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail and visual composition.
- Flexible, resourceful, and able to work under tight deadlines.
- Willing to travel nationwide for field documentation.
