Librarian

The position is responsible for coordinating with deans and department heads in reviewing books for possible purchase and with the accountant for budget monitoring and payment. It also involves liaising with book dealers regarding book displays, selection of titles, and other materials needed for the library, as well as informing the Faculty-Library Committee about current books on display for examination and selection. The role ensures that the library's collection development policy is followed and coordinates with government agencies, NGOs, and other universities regarding gifts and exchanges. It includes preparing and sending requisition orders to the Accounting Office for approval, allocating and managing expenditures within the assigned budget, and supervising the binding of periodicals and journals. In addition, the position oversees book processing activities such as accessioning and other acquisition tasks, maintains order and cleanliness in the Acquisitions Area, and performs other related functions as may be assigned by the Superior.
