Cyber Security Specialist(Compliance)

Job Summary:
The Cybersecurity Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the organization's information systems, processes, and practices comply with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. This role oversees cybersecurity audits, risk assessments, and compliance programs while working closely with IT, Legal, and Business Units to strengthen the company's security posture and reduce risk exposure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity compliance programs aligned with regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, Data Privacy Act).
- Conduct regular audits, assessments, and monitoring of systems, applications, and networks to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
- Identify, document, and remediate compliance gaps, recommending security controls and best practices.
- Collaborate with IT, Legal, HR, and business teams to ensure consistent enforcement of cybersecurity and data protection policies.
- Prepare compliance reports, documentation, and dashboards for management and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor new and evolving cybersecurity regulations, frameworks, and best practices, ensuring the company adapts to changes.
- Lead employee awareness and training programs on cybersecurity policies and compliance obligations.
- Support incident response activities by ensuring proper documentation, reporting, and compliance with regulatory timelines.
- Serve as liaison with external auditors, regulators, and third-party vendors during security reviews and assessments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of
2–5 years of experience
in cybersecurity, IT risk management, or compliance roles. - Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT, PCI-DSS, Data Privacy laws).
- Familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) tools and security audit methodologies.
- Relevant certifications preferred:
CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, or equivalent. - Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Proactive mindset in identifying and mitigating risks.
- High level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality.
