The IT Asset Management Custodian is tasked with supporting the IT Asset Management Specialist in effectively tracking, allocating, and maintaining IT assets within the organization. The role ensures efficient management, accurate documentation, and smooth operations of IT asset-related services.

Asset Inventory Management

Assist in maintaining a precise and up-to-date inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software, and peripherals.

Support regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies and asset tracking standards.

Deployment and Support

Aid in the allocation and deployment of IT equipment to end-users.

Coordinate with the IT Asset Management Specialist to facilitate timely replacement, refresh, or repair of IT assets.

Documentation and Reporting

Maintain detailed records of IT asset transactions, including deployments, returns, and end-of-life (EOL) retirements.

Provide periodic updates on inventory status and usage trends to the IT Asset Management Specialist.

Compliance and Policies

Adhere to IT asset management policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Contribute to risk mitigation by supporting initiatives to prevent asset loss or misuse.

Collaboration

Collaborate with the IT Asset Management Specialist and IT team members to complete asset-related tasks efficiently.

Offer basic assistance and guidance to end-users regarding IT asset handling and usage.

Education –  Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Related Work Experience – 0 - 1 year of operational experience in asset management.

  • Prior experience in IT support, inventory management, or related roles is an advantage but not required.
  • Internships or exposure to IT-related work are beneficial.

Knowledge –  Knowledgeable  in the following:

  • Understanding of hardware and software lifecycle management.
  • Basic knowledge of IT hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Familiarity with inventory tracking systems or IT asset management tools is a plus.
  • Awareness of inventory management principles and IT equipment functionality.

Skills:

  • Excellent organizational, administrative, and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow processes and guidelines accurately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) / Google Workspace.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with team members and end-users.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of IT asset management.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong focus on customer service and operational efficiency.
  • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight SLAs.
