Job Title: Restaurant Cashier

Reports To: Restaurant Supervisor

Job Summary:

A Restaurant Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions, managing payments, and ensuring an excellent dining experience by providing friendly and efficient service. This role includes processing orders, handling cash and card payments, maintaining the cleanliness of the cashier area, and assisting with basic customer service tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cash Handling & Transactions:

  • Process customer orders accurately using the restaurant's POS (Point of Sale) system.
  • Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods securely.
  • Provide correct change and issue receipts to customers.
  • Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of shifts, ensuring no discrepancies.
  • Remain at the counter at all times.
  • Responsible in opening and closing duties, such as counting cash and setting up the register.

2. Customer Service:

  • Greet customers warmly and answer any questions about the menu or promotions when needed..
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a polite and professional manner.
  • Assist with takeout orders and packaging food when needed.

4. Cleanliness & Organization:

  • Keep the cashier station, counters, and surrounding areas clean and tidy.
  • Follow proper sanitation and food safety guidelines.

5. Additional Duties:

  • Other tasks as assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service is a plus.
  • Basic math skills and familiarity with cash handling.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php15, Php20,000.00 per month
