Job Description

Responsibilities of an Ordinary Seaman

This is an entry-level position, often a stepping stone to advancement.

  • Maintenance: Cleaning, painting, and maintaining the ship's decks, hull, and living quarters.

  • Cargo Operations: Assisting in loading and unloading cargo and securing it for transport.

  • Mooring: Handling ropes and lines for docking and undocking the ship.

  • Navigation & Safety: Performing lookout duties, standing watch, and participating in safety drills and first aid teams.

  • General Tasks: Performing routine maintenance on deck equipment and other duties as assigned by senior officers.

Skills and Qualifications:

MUST HAVE GEARED EXPERIENCED

MUST HAVE INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE ON BULK CARRIER VESSELS FOR ATLEAST 2 - 3 CONTRACTS
