Position title: Communications Lead

Reporting: The Communications Lead will report to the Head of PeerLINC

Terms of agreement: Initial term of hire will be one year, subject to extension upon agreement based on project duration and budget.

Position Summary:

This position is critical to the continued growth and sustainability of the PeerLINC Knowledge Hub (PeerLINC). The successful candidate will report to the Head of PeerLINC and work closely with TB Alliance to develop and execute a variety of communications strategies and activities to improve PeerLINC's visibility, enhance its reputation, and better position the initiative to receive continued financial support by deepening existing donor relations and aligning with new funding opportunities.

Additionally, PeerLINC's Communications Lead will coordinate with the broader PeerLINC Team, Tropical Disease Foundation (TDF), and other key partners to identify communications needs, develop communications strategies, and create, maintain, and deploy communication tactics and materials across various platforms to:

· Improve understanding of the working, importance, and impact of the PeerLINC among global stakeholders

· Maintain engagement between PeerLINC and the representatives of countries that have participated in its programs through proactive and ongoing communication

· Help attract future participants in PeerLINC

· Support TB Alliance and the Head of PeerLINC to strengthen donor relations and effectively position PeerLINC to pursue additional funding opportunities through strategic communications.

Position description:

· Develop and execute an overall communications strategy for PeerLINC working with the Head of PeeLINC and TB Alliance

· Develop and execute a communications plan targeting current and future potential donors for PeerLINC and TB Alliance

· Develop and disseminate content across various types and platforms to communicate the workings, scope, and impact of the PeerLINC . Examples of such content include, but are not limited to:

o News updates on key partnerships, trainings, and progress from past training participants

o Case studies, testimonials, and reports highlighting the capabilities of and impacts of PeerLINC

· Maintain and grow PeerLINC's website to house the above materials and effectively present and promote PeerLINC's core values, impact, and partnerships

· Work with key external partners, including participating countries and key local stakeholders, to facilitate their sharing of information and testimonials about the importance and impact of PeerLINC and their role in its operations and achievements

· Establish and lead the execution of a social media strategy to reach and connect PeerLINC to donors, decision makers, KOLs, civil society, and other relevant stakeholders

· Working closely with appropriate members of TB Alliance and Head of PeerLINC, identify and help create communications opportunities to engage existing and prospective donors

· Help maintain and, when necessary, digitally disseminate the library of PeerLINC training materials. This may include working with vendors to oversee the translation of materials into new languages

· Work with PeerLINC team and external partners/KOLs to identify and help develop reports, peer-reviewed journal submissions, and other opportunities to establish and advance thought leadership

· Lead the development of strategies and tools to facilitate engagement of donors and past participants in PeerLINC programs both with the PeerLINC team and with each other to create and leverage opportunities for information sharing and reputation-building

· Develop and deploy strategies for disseminating information to media, as appropriate, including news releases, op-eds, and promotion of key reports and milestones

· Develop a strategy to increase PeerLINC's presence at external facing events, conferences, and meetings, to build brand recognition, grow reputation, and build relationships with potential partners and participants

· Maintain and grow PeerLINC's contact database and distribution lists for news updates and "alumni" communications

· Maintain and oversee use of PeerLINC branding in communications (logos, email templates, PowerPoint presentations, etc.)

· Assist TB Alliance and the Head of PeerLINC in reporting to funding partners as needed

· Establish communications goals and frameworks to monitor, evaluate, and report on performance against communications-based goals

· Along with PeerLINC and TB Alliance teams, identify needs and build tools to help establish processes to carry out work described above and strengthen internal communication

Ideal candidate will have:

· A minimum of 5-to-10 years professional experience in broad-based and strategic communications, with an emphasis on content creation and engagement strategy

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English language)

· Demonstrated Experience

o in website maintenance (PeerLINC website runs on Squarespace), social media management and digital analytics

o developing (or co-developing), managing, and executing multifaceted communications plans

o in light graphic design

o working with and managing relationships with a wide variety of partners, stakeholders, and KOLs

· Additional skills and experiences not required but would be looked upon favorably include:

o Proficiency in additional languages

o Knowledge or experience in relevant subject areas such as tuberculosis, health product introduction, global health, or fundraising

o Experience working with and managing global teams, partners, and stakeholders

About the PeerLINC Knowledge Hub

Located in Manila, Philippines, the Peer-to-Peer Learning for Innovative Cures (PeerLINC) Knowledge Hub provides practical training and technical support to help speed programmatic implementation of innovative, effective tuberculosis treatments globally. PeerLINC follows a peer-to-peer model for sharing of best practices, experiences, tools, and materials by connecting experts from countries that rapidly adopted new TB technologies with other countries seeking assistance to implement new TB technologies to help accelerate widespread access to improved TB tools. PeerLINC's current focus is helping countries to implement the WHO-recommended BPaL/M regimens for drug-resistant TB.

PeerLINC, operates in partnership between the Tropical Disease Foundation, Inc. (TDF) and TB Alliance in close collaboration with the Department of Health, Philippines. PeerLINC training is provided both remotely and in-person, with beneficiaries visiting PeerLINC headquarters or the PeerLINC team traveling to beneficiary countries. Trainings are delivered by a team of experts who continue to guide countries as they implement new treatments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php130, Php150,000.00 per month
