Part time (7hrs)

Virtual Assistants can be a powerful asset for a handyman services company, especially

if in streamlining the operations, improving customer service, marketing and free up

time for the operations manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

What can the VA do for Handyman Can Help?

  1. Customer Communication

● Answer incoming calls, texts, and emails

● Provide quotes or estimates based on client requirements and ticket lifts.

● Schedule Service Tech and client appointments and confirm schedules.

● Follow up with unapproved quotes

● Handle customer complaints and rescheduling.

2. Scheduling & Calendar Management

● Coordinate job schedules for multiple handymen

● Avoid overlaps or downtime between jobs

● Send reminders to both customers and service technicians

● Manage cancellations and optimize routes

● Experience with Jobber or similar software management systems (advantage)

3. Admin & Back-Office Support

● Create and send invoices

● Track payments

● Maintain service records and job logs

4. Marketing & Lead Generation

● Respond to inquiries from Jobber, email and all other platforms used by

Handyman Can Help

● Manage social media pages (post updates, reply to DMs)

● Run email or SMS campaigns to repeat customers

● Help with Google Business updates and reviews

● Image Creation, video editing, Youtube shorts video, Instagram, Facebook,

Google, Google Analytics

● To use AI for content writing and/or syndication

● Press releases

● Marketing

● Metricool social media or similar (advantage)

● Experience with social media syndication software

5. Contractor & Staff Coordination

● Onboard new freelancers or part-time techs

● Maintain records of licenses, insurance, and certifications

● Communicate job details and customer expectations

● Track hours worked (if needed)

6. Metrics & Performance Tracking

● Compile data on:

o Completed jobs

o Customer ratings

o Response time

VA's Requirements:

● Team player

● Problem Solver

● Analytic and Critical Thinker

● Results-driven

● Able to work during weekends

● Fluent in written and spoken English

● Familiar with home repair and handyman terms

● Three years experience or more with the above disciplines
