Experience/Qualifications
- Preferably with Bachelor's Degree in Administration, Management, and Communications
- Preferably with 1 year prior relevant experience
Knowledge
- Must have administrative and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Knowledge of the broad spectrum of available school academic units, curricula, and programs.
- Knowledge of school admissions policies, standards, and procedures
Skills (Including Technology)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Skill in examining, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
- Organizing and coordinating skills.
- Ability to design and write promotional material.
- Ability to evaluate student transcripts and/or records.
- Ability to make independent judgments and work under pressure.
- Must be accurate and pay close attention to detail.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Assists in maintaining and updating admission records and files and compiles admissions reports as directed.
- Advising parents regarding admissions requirements, eligibility for admission, program options, requirements and other matters related to their admission to the School
- Evaluates and processes admissions applications in accordance with School policies, goals and rules
- Consults with parents, teachers and other school and community personnel to assist in meeting the needs of students
- Coordinates all counseling services for students and assists with the coordination and implementation of student services in the school
- Conducting informational meeting and programs to explain admission requirements policies and procedures to parents
- Accurately interprets test results and other student data
- Assists teachers with the educational placement of students by using appropriate educational assessment strategies
- Adheres to ethical standards of the counseling profession, and abides by the law, policies and procedures that govern the schools
- Participates in professional associations and upgrades professional knowledge and skills when needed
- Ad hoc projects required
