Tugboat Manager

Job Summary / Position Objectives:

• The primarily responsibility of the
  TUG BOAT MANAGER
  is to maximize utilization and profitability of tug boats through sales and marketing and effective & efficient operations.

Key Results Areas / Duties and Responsibilities

1. SALES & MARKETING

a. Finds & Acquires customers for chartering docking/ undocking, tending, ferrying and other tug services towing.

b. Prepares quotes/ proposals and tugs service contract for customers approved by the CEO.

2. TUG BOAT OPERATIONS

a. Prepares reporting system to monitor tug movements, fuel, lube consumption and other pertinent information.

b. Reviews and analyses report data and provides recommendation to upper management to improve profitability and performance.

c. Plans annual deployment of tug boats.

d. Communicates with fleet head and tug crew regularly to ensure maximized productivity of tug boat operations.

3. Management and Leadership

a. Sets department goals in line with the VMV of the company.

b. Formulates, establishes and executes department policies and procedures.

c. Conducts root cause analysis of the incidents within the department and determines and implements appropriate corrective and preventive action to eliminate the risk of recurrence of similar incidents

d. Discusses Job content with subordinates; ensuring that all expectations of the job are clearly understood and effectively done.

e. Develops and disciplines his/her subordinates.

f. Plans activities and schedules of staff.

g. Conducts performance evaluation of staff ensuring excellent performance.

h. Prepares and implements the annual budget of the department.

Job Qualification

1. EDUCATION

• Must be a college graduate, preferably of BS in Marketing

II. EXPERIENCE

• With at least Five (5) years of relevant experience in the same field of expertise.

III. SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

• Must have excellent people skills

• Must have a high level of integrity

• Must have Planning,

• Analytical, and Leadership skills

• Must be proficient in Oral and written English Communication

• Must have a working knowledge of relevant and applicable computer software.

Work Schedule:
Monday to Saturday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
