Position Overview

The Van Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and comfortable transportation exclusively for resort guests. The driver ensures that all transfers to and from airports, seaports, and designated pick-up/drop-off points are conducted with professionalism, courtesy, and in line with Matinloc Island Resort's service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate the resort van to transport guests only to assigned locations.
  • Provide a warm welcome and courteous assistance to guests during transfers.
  • Assist guests with luggage loading and unloading.
  • Ensure the van is always clean, air-conditioned, and presentable.
  • Perform routine checks (fuel, oil, brakes, tires, lights) before each trip.
  • Follow all traffic laws and resort transport policies.
  • Coordinate trip schedules with the Front Office/Guest Services team.
  • Maintain trip records (mileage, fuel, destinations).
  • Report any accidents, delays, or issues with the vehicle immediately.

Qualifications

  • Valid Professional Driver's License (Restriction 1 & 2; 3 is an advantage).
  • Minimum 2 years' experience driving vans or similar vehicles for guest/customer transport.
  • Good communication skills in English and Filipino; courteous and guest-oriented.
  • Knowledgeable of local routes and traffic regulations.
  • Physically fit and able to assist with guest luggage.
  • Punctual, trustworthy, and flexible with schedules (including weekends/holidays).
  • Must be a resident of El Nido, Palawan.
