Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting staff, delivering goods, maintaining vehicle readiness, and ensuring all trips are conducted efficiently, safely, and professionally.

Key responsibilities:

1. Transportation Duties

  • Safely transport staff to and from designated locations.

  • Deliver materials, equipment, and products to clients or internal sites.

  • Collect packages and documents as needed.

2. Vehicle Maintenance

  • Perform routine checks (e.g., tire pressure, oil, fuel levels).

  • Keep the vehicle clean and presentable at all times.

  • Report issues and coordinate necessary vehicle repairs.

  • Oversee the maintenance and registration of company-owned vehicles.

3. Documentation

  • Maintain accurate travel logs including work hours and destinations.

  • Ensure delivery receipts and documents are properly signed and filed.

4. Route Management

  • Use navigation tools to identify optimal routes and avoid traffic delays.

  • Effectively manage time to meet pick-up and delivery schedules.

5. Compliance & Safety

  • Comply with all local traffic laws and driving regulations.

  • Follow company safety standards and protocols.

6. Communication

    • Coordinate with dispatchers and supervisors regarding trip schedules and updates.

    • Promptly report any travel or vehicle issues.

Qualifications To be successful in the role:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

  • Proven experience as a company or commercial driver preferred

  • Familiarity with vehicle maintenance practices

  • Good communication and time management skills

  • Ability to work independently and handle minor logistical issues
