Frontend Developer

(Remote, 3-Month Contract with Potential Extension)Overview

Microdeb is seeking a skilled Frontend Developer for a three-month remote contract, with the possibility of extension. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain user interfaces for our software applications. You will collaborate closely with cross functional teams and contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from initial concept through to deployment and ongoing maintenance.

This position requires availability during Swedish office hours, with a recommended overlap window of 08:00 to 13:00 Sweden time, which corresponds to 15:00 to 20:00 in the Philippines.

The ideal candidate is passionate about crafting great user experiences, writing clean and maintainable code, and applying solid engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain software applications based on requirements and design specifications.
  • Implement automated testing to ensure high code quality and reliable functionality.
  • Collaborate with product manager, developers and other stakeholders to deliver high quality features.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and established standards.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure consistency and quality across the codebase.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying bottlenecks, proposing solutions, and implementing best practices.

Ideal Candidate

  • 3 to 5 years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong experience creating web interfaces using modern JavaScript based frameworks, particularly React or similar frameworks such as Vue or Svelte.
  • Strong knowledge of TypeScript and component-based development.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs and integrating them into the frontend presentation layer.
  • Willingness to work across other parts of the tech stack when needed.
