Equipment Monitoring:
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to assess functionality and identify potential issues.
- Track equipment performance, operating hours, and condition through logs and monitoring systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Repair and Replacement:
- Oversee the proper dismantling and installation of replacement parts for all motorpool equipment.
- Ensure that replacement parts are high quality and meet the required specifications.
- Supervise maintenance personnel during the repair process, ensuring adherence to best practices.
Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:
- Lead diagnostic efforts to identify the root cause of equipment issues.
- Provide technical guidance and training to mechanics and operators for proper troubleshooting techniques.
- Ensure repairs are done efficiently and effectively to avoid recurring issues.
Tool and Equipment Monitoring:
- Monitor the tools and equipment used by mechanics to ensure proper use, maintenance, and availability.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to track tools and ensure they are in good working condition.
- Address any issues related to the maintenance and calibration of tools as necessary.
Team Leadership and Coordination:
- Lead and manage a group of mechanics, ensuring effective teamwork and collaboration.
- Foster a positive work environment where mechanics are encouraged to share knowledge and work cohesively.
- Ensure that all team members perform their tasks efficiently and adhere to safety protocols.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and parts replacements.
- Generate reports on equipment performance and maintenance activities, as well as job orders from time to time.
- Recommend improvements based on analysis of equipment usage and failure data.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all equipment maintenance procedures comply with safety standards and regulations.
- Implement safety protocols and best practices in equipment handling and repairs.
- Ensuring all the heavy equipment has updated third-party Certifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in equipment maintenance or motorpool operations.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
- Proven ability to manage maintenance tasks and prioritize repairs.
- Strong communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
- Ability to lead a group of mechanics and work as a team player.
- Experience in monitoring tools and equipment is an advantage
