YOUR IMPACT Transcriptionist

• Transcribe audio files, voice notes, and recordings into written reports, correspondence, or documentation
• Review and edit drafts for accuracy, grammar, and formatting consistency
• Apply correct terminology and style guides based on industry (medical, legal, corporate)
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA or other data protection standards
• Meet daily or weekly production quotas with high accuracy
• Communicate with clients or internal teams to clarify unclear audio or terminology
• Use transcription software, foot pedals, and speech recognition tools as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent; postsecondary training or certification preferred
• 1–2 years of transcription experience (medical, legal, or general)
• Typing speed of 65+ WPM with high accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and transcription platforms (e.g., Express Scribe, Dragon)
• Strong command of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems (for medical transcription)
• Knowledge of legal terminology and formatting (for legal transcription)
• Experience with multilingual transcription or translation a plus
