Geologist Engineer

Job Description:

The Geologist will be responsible for conducting geological investigations and assessments to support the design, construction, and operation of the hydropower project. This includes evaluating geological and geotechnical conditions, preparing reports, and providing recommendations to ensure project safety and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct site investigations, mapping, and subsurface studies.
• Assess geological, geotechnical, and hydrogeological conditions at project sites.
• Collect and analyze rock, soil, and water samples.
• Prepare geological and geotechnical reports to support project design and risk assessment.
• Provide technical input during construction related to ground conditions, tunneling, slope stability, and foundations.
• Coordinate with engineers and project managers to address geotechnical concerns.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or related field (Master's preferred).
• Experience in geological/geotechnical work, preferably in hydropower or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of rock mechanics, soil analysis, and hydrogeology.
• Familiarity with geological software and mapping tools.
