  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology
  • Must be Licensed Medical Technologist
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
  • Willing to work in shifting schedule

  • Must reside in nearby areas

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs procedures for the different sections of the laboratory.
  • Keeps equipment and laboratory facilities clean.
  • Attends to patients, doctors and other hospital employees courteously.
  • Sees to it that the equipment are kept in good condition.
  • Reports to chief medical technologist during tour of duty.
  • Types and releases results to patients, doctors and to the nurses' stations.
  • Cleans the area after duty.
  • Endorses unfinished work and extractions verbally and writes these on the endorsement logbook.
  • Files request forms after shift.
  • Monitors blood bank refrigerator temperatures (6am, 10am, 2pm, 6pm, 10pm, 2am)
  • Logs blood products in the blood bank refrigerator.
  • Calls doctor for referrals.

6-2 SHIFT

  • Forwards charge slips to billing section and pink copy to accounting department.
  • Calls MGM, MIDC, Perpetual for send-out exams.
  • Calls doctor for TG, PBS, Retics, MS and BMA readings.

2-10 SHIFT

  • Follows up results for send-out exams.
  • Requests supplies from CSR section.

10-6 SHIFT

  • Logs all Histopath and Pap smear results in logbook.
  • Calibrates and runs controls for Coulter machine (print result).
  • Marks names of doctors on the result forms.
  • Wash tubes, slides and clean warding boxes.
