About the role

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team at MATTGELO CORPORATION' in Binondo, Manila City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that will play a critical role in maintaining the financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes. As our Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for a range of key responsibilities that contribute to the overall financial health of the organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Accurately recording daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Reconciling bank statements and other accounts on a regular basis
  • Preparing and processing payroll in a timely and compliant manner
  • Generating financial reports, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets
  • Assisting with the preparation of tax returns and liaising with external accountants
  • Maintaining and updating the company's financial records and filing system
  • Providing support to the finance team as needed

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role, preferably within the Accounting industry and Bookkeeping & Small Practice Accounting sub-industry
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate financial records
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations
  • Effective communication skills to interact with both internal and external stakeholders
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset
