Engineering Project Manager

Job Summary:

The Engineering Project Manager is responsible in support planning, coordinating and executing engineering projects. He or she will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain and external vendors to help ensure projects (e.g., new product introductions, process improvements, equipment installations) are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification. With hands-on exposure to project management in an electronics manufacturing setting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Defines project scope, objectives and deliverables aligned with business and customer requirements.
• Creates and maintains project plans: schedules, milestones, resource allocation, budgets.
• Tracks project progress, monitors key performance indicators (schedule adherence, budget variance, quality metrics).
• Coordinates cross-functional teams: engineering (mechanical, electrical, process), manufacturing, procurement, quality, vendors/subcontractors.
• Facilitates regular status meetings; prepares and distributes project updates, highlight risks/issues and propose mitigation.
• Supports new product introduction (NPI) or process change-over activities: tooling / fixture setup, validation, pilot runs, ramp into mass production.
• Maintains project documentation: charters, risk logs, change logs, meeting minutes, lessons learned.
• Identifies project risks, issues, bottlenecks; propose corrective actions and follow up.
• Supports cost-tracking and capital expenditure monitoring, ensuring projects stay within budget.
• Ensures compliance with engineering drawings/specifications, manufacturing requirements, quality standards, safety regulations.
• Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives: lean manufacturing, waste reduction, process optimization.
• Interfaces with customers (internal/external) or vendors when needed to clarify requirements, reports progress and manages expectations.

Job Qualifications:

• Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial) or any relevant field.
• Has 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering or project coordination; preferably in electronics, assembly, or related sectors.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes typical in electronics (e.g., PCB assembly, SMT, test, mechanical assembly) is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and comfortable learning project management / scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet).
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to interact with multiple functional teams and vendors.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously, attention to detail, disciplined follow-through.
• Problem-solving mindset; ability to identify issues early, escalate when required, propose solutions.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, occasional overtime or shifts may be required.
• With exposure to project management methodologies or tools (e.g., WBS, Gantt charts, risk register).
• Familiarity with electronics manufacturing environment: PCB fabrication/assembly, BOM management, test/validation.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, process improvement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, manufacturing process flows and test data.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php40, Php60,000.00 per month
