About the Role

Help craft scalable Go microservices that power search, pricing, and booking journeys. You'll ship resilient, observable services and collaborate across teams to improve performance and reliability. Full-time, WFH in the Philippines; mid-shift/US-overlap; 13th-month, HMO (employee), WFH equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build Go microservices (REST/gRPC) for high-traffic user journeys.
  • Model and access data across Postgres/Oracle/DB2; implement caching and idempotent workflows.
  • Integrate with Kafka/streaming and other services; champion back-pressure and reliability patterns.
  • Profile and tune performance (CPU/memory, goroutines, lock contention, GC).
  • Deliver high-quality code with tests, CI/CD, and strong documentation; partner with SRE/Infra on release and observability.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years back-end development; 3+ years in Go building production systems.
  • Go concurrency patterns, context/cancellation, sync primitives; REST/gRPC; protobuf.
  • Kafka/streaming, SQL mastery, Redis or similar caching; Docker/Kubernetes; AWS.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems (retries, timeouts, circuit breakers).
  • BS in CS/IT or related field (minimum).
Nice-to-Have Extras
  • Search, pricing, or inventory domain experience; feature flags and A/B testing integration.
  • Observability stacks (metrics/logs/traces) and incident analysis.
