Job Summary:

The Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of all refrigeration and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems. This includes supervising a team of technicians, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and coordinating with other departments to maintain optimal climate conditions in the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of refrigeration and air conditioning systems across all company facilities.
  • Assign and monitor tasks to HVAC technicians, ensuring timely and efficient completion of work.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot air conditioning and refrigeration units (split type, window type, centralized, walk-in chillers/freezers, etc.).
  • Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely execution.
  • Ensure proper documentation of repairs, maintenance logs, and inventory of parts.
  • Recommend upgrades, replacements, or modifications to improve system efficiency.
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations, environmental policies, and Philippine local mechanical codes.
  • Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and service providers when external support is needed.
  • Train and evaluate team members to ensure high technical competency and safety awareness.
  • Prepare reports on HVAC system status, technician performance, and budget needs.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a vocational course or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in HVAC systems, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead technician role.
  • TESDA NC II/NC III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning is preferred.
  • Knowledge of local mechanical, electrical, and safety codes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays when necessary.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge in Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office)
  • Familiar with energy-saving HVAC technologies

Work Environment:

  • Work is performed in commercial, industrial, or residential buildings.
  • May be exposed to varying temperatures and working conditions, including heights and confined spaces.
