Staff Pharmacist

Job Overview:

• Fill prescriptions and dispense pharmaceutical products
• Compound the medications not commercially available
• Label all the medicine containers issued to the various hospital services
• Check the manufacturer and expiration dates of drug products
• Record issuance of medicines in the computer system
• Notify physicians of any therapeutic incompatibilities, potential drug interactions and duplicate prescriptions
• Conduct a monthly inventory of medicines
• Receives delivery of medicines together with the warehouse staff
• Prepare, check and sign charge slips issued to patients
• Attend scientific seminar workshops/ consultative meetings and continuing education on drug-related matters and hospital pharmacy practices
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program of the Pharmacy Service
• Answer in-person/ phone queries about hospital pharmaceutical products, such as availability of stock, price, preparations, stability of drug product, etc.

Job Qualifications:

• A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
• Must be a Licensed Pharmacist
• Willing to work on shifting schedules
