The Unit Clerk provides direct assistance for the smooth operations in the assigned unit/department. The incumbent mans the reception, handles patient scheduling, meets and communicates with the patient/family, departmental staff, and medical staff, releases patient results, and implements directions from the unit/department head or OIC. The Unit Clerk also handles encoding of patient's data and results and ensures that patient details in the Hospital Information System are correct.
- Review and process accurate charging of the patients' procedures
- Key in, edit and proof-read correspondence, reports, statements, invoices, forms and other documents, using word processing software and hospital system
- Collaboration and coordination with the appropriate hospital staff based on the transaction needs to be processed and completed.
- Ensure excellent patient experience is practice at all times.
- Professionally answers queries and directs patients and their relatives to the proper personnel with regards to the procedures and other instructions that need clarification.
- Receive and forward important messages via text or email or counter inquiries to the appropriate person and provide general information to concerned staff.
- Handles patient scheduling (if applicable) and makes sure that feedback forms are answered by patients
- Perform administrative tasks like encoding, printing, collate documents for distribution, mailing and filing sort, process and verify information, receipts, expenditures, forms and other documents part of the unit.
- Document distribution and ordering and monitoring of supplies of the assigned unit
- Handles simple patient complaints in a professional manner and endorses/escalates more complex complaints to unit head or patient experience as needed
- Assist the Unit Head in managing staff's schedule and ensure medical staff are fully informed of their shifts.
- Maintain and update manual or computerized filing, inventory, mailing and database system
- Open, sort and route incoming mail, manually or electronically
- Issue hospital labels and prepare all documentation required by the applicable departments.
- Other duties or ad-hoc tasks and projects assigned
Requirements
- Graduate of Any Business Course, or Medical/Clinical-related Course
- Preferably with 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or medical facility in an administrative role, adept in using any Hospital System or Business Tools
- Computer literate with ability to operate MS Office applications
- Must have excellent Customer Service Skills and have high sense of urgency and accuracy
- Work well under pressure and with good communication skills
- Willing to work in Arca South, Taguig City
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php18,000.00 per month
