JOB DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1/2
As Administrative Dietitian:
v Supervises activities of food serves during meal tray, assembly, delivery, distribution and collection of meal trays, ensuring adherence to prescribed diet.
v Monitors cooks and food servers' attendance.
As Food Service Dietitian:
v Endorses number of meals to prepare and other meal requirements to the cook and assures instructions are carried out properly.
v Checks availability of perishable and non- perishable food.
As Clinical Dietitian:
v Conducts ward rounds for diet instruction of patients endorsed by doctors.
v Clarity of diet instructions given to patients and relatives/caregivers.
v Consults with and interviews patients for questions, clarification or validation processes.
v Interprets diet prescription of patients from the Diet List sent by the different nurse ward stations.
v Gives accurate computation for the caloric requirements of patients.
v Coordinates with the cook concerning quantity of food to be produced in accordance with the diet prescriptions, food preferences and room classifications.
v Quality checks all meals, diabetic snacks and enteral feeding formula based on the prescribed diet order.
Performs other duties as may be required by Management.
