Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain
    LifeAsia applications
    on
    AS400/iSeries
    .
  • Participate in the
    full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
    — requirement gathering, design, coding, unit testing, and deployment.
  • Customize and enhance
    policy administration, billing, claims, and insurance modules
    within LifeAsia.
  • Develop and optimize
    RPG, COBOL/400, CL, and SQL/400 programs
    .
  • Ensure smooth
    integration of LifeAsia with other enterprise and downstream systems
    .
  • Collaborate with business analysts and end-users to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain
    technical specifications and documentation
    .
  • Contribute to
    system upgrades, refactoring, and modernization initiatives
    .
  • Support
    batch processes, testing, and release management
    .
  • Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing within the team.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in
    LifeAsia application development
    on
    AS400/iSeries
    .
  • Strong knowledge of
    AS400 programming languages
    (RPG, COBOL/400, CL, SQL/400).
  • Solid understanding of
    insurance processes
    (policy administration, billing, claims, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with
    application enhancements, customization, and system integration
    .
  • Strong debugging, testing, and performance optimization skills.
  • Familiarity with
    refactoring projects, upgrades, and modernization
    of legacy systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across business and technical teams.
