Hemodialyis Nurse

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to dialysis patients across all.
• Review physician orders and patient records prior to treatment.
• Perform pre- and post-dialysis assessments, including vital signs, vascular access evaluation, and overall patient status.
• Document assessments, interventions, and treatment outcomes accurately.
• Monitor patient response to dialysis and oversee dialysis technicians throughout treatment.
• Cannulate vascular access and perform aseptic dressing changes as required.
• Administer prescribed dialysis-related medications (IV/oral).
• Provide patient education regarding disease management and dialysis care.
• Coordinate referrals to nutrition, social work, and other support services.
• Ensure proper disassembly, cleaning, and disinfection of dialysis equipment.
• Conduct routine water treatment surveillance and testing (e.g., chlorine, hardness, conductivity).
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control practices and safety protocols.
• Respond to emergency situations promptly and appropriately.
• Assist with charge nurse duties and help maintain high standards of patient care.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team and participate in team meetings.
• Provide staffing coverage as needed to support department operations.
