
Technology Services Department Head

JOB SUMMARY
The Technology Services Department Head will be responsible for the management of the Delivery Support Services of the IT operations. This includes management of the IT Infrastructure performance that includes managing the provision of technology-based services to meet defined organizational needs. He/she shall lead the development of architecture for complex solutions ensuring consistency with agreed requirements either internally or with vendors and establishes policies, principles and practices for the selection of solution architecture components.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Management of the Delivery Support Services of the IT operations. This includes management of the IT infrastructure performance that includes managing the provision of technology-based services to meet defined organizational needs.
- Leads the development of architectures for complex solutions ensuring consistency with agreed requirements either internally or with vendors. Establishes policies, principles and practices for the selection of solution architecture components. Manages trade-offs and balances functional, service quality and systems management requirements within a significant area of the organization. Communicates proposed decisions to stakeholders. Maintains a stable, viable architecture and ensures consistency of design and adherence to appropriate standards across multiple projects or initiatives.
- Provides technical leadership to optimize the performance of IT infrastructure. Investigates and manages the adoption of tools, techniques and processes (including automation) for the management of systems and services. Oversees the planning, installation, maintenance and acceptance of new and updated infrastructure components and infrastructure-based services. Aligns to service expectations, security requirements and other quality standards.
- Ensures that operational procedures and documentation are fit for purpose and kept up to date. Ensures that operational issues are identified, recorded, monitored and resolved. Provides appropriate status and other reports to specialists users and managers. Ensures that system software is provisioned and configured to facilitate the achievement of service objectives. Evaluates new system software and recommends adoption if appropriate. Plans the provisioning and testing of new versions of system software.
- Lead to Orchestrate Investigates and coordinates the resolution of potential and actual service problems. Ensures that operational procedures and diagnostics for system of software are current, accessible and well understood.
- Develops configuration management strategies, policies, standards, and guidelines. Champions the importance and value of configuration management and develops new methods and organizational capabilities (including automation) for configuration management. Provides resources to drive adoption of, and adherence to, policies and standards. Measures and monitors adherence to standards and ensures consistent evolution of the process across the organization.
- Develops strategies for managing storage and data based on the level of critically of the information. Ensures compliance with regulatory and security requirements. Aligns investments in storage management with business goals and data management policies.
- Leads the development and implementation of policy and strategies for capacity and performance management to meet business needs. Leads capacity modeling and forecasting over the organization's planning or budgeting cycle. Ensures that the policies and standards for capacity management are fit for purpose, current and correctly implemented. Reviews new business proposals and provides specialist advice on capacity issues.
- Implements the policies and procedures, programs and projects as laid down by the Chief Executive Officer and the Executive Vice President to ensure that the managers follow and carry out the required activities to achieve the goals and objectives of the Association;
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's/Master's in IT, Computer Science, or related field. Certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CISSP, AWS/Azure) are a plus.
- 5 years in IT leadership roles, with 3+ years in the banking/financial services industry.
- Proven expertise in core banking systems, ERP, and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of financial regulations (BSP and AML)
- Strategic thinker with the ability to bridge technical and business needs.
- Strong project management, vendor negotiation, and stakeholder communication skills.
