About the role

Kintetsu World Express Phils., Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Impex Specialist to join our team in Subic, Zambales. As an Impex Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the freight/cargo forwarding operations of our company, managing the import and export processes for our clients. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic growth and success of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Coordinate and oversee the import and export activities for a diverse range of clients, ensuring seamless and efficient cargo handling
• Prepare and process all necessary documentation, including customs clearance, invoicing, and other relevant paperwork
• Liaise with various stakeholders, such as freight forwarders, customs authorities, and clients, to resolve any issues or queries
• Monitor and track shipments, providing regular updates and status reports to clients
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the overall efficiency of the import/export operations
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures and best practices
• Collaborate with the broader team to support the company's growth and expansion initiatives

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar freight/cargo forwarding role, preferably in the manufacturing, transport, and logistics industry
• Strong understanding of import/export regulations, customs clearance procedures, and related documentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, partners, and internal teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to use logistics management software
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• A proactive problem-solver with a customer-centric mindset
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changes in the industry
