I. NATURE OF JOB

The Driver is responsible for transporting passengers from and to their destinations by choosing the best routes. He provides prompt preventive and corrective maintenance works for the various company vehicles and equipment used in different services as well.

II. BASIC TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Below are the duties and responsibilities of a driver:

1.) Applies knowledge of driving and skills in maneuvering the vehicle at varying speeds in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic and inclement weather.

2.) Safely drive company vehicles to pick up or drop passengers to their required destinations.

3.) Keeps vehicle clean and maintained at all times.

4.) Performs work in the operation of a vehicle to assure safe transportation of clients to and from various destinations and to assist clients/passengers on entry and exit from vehicles as necessary.

5.) Practices pre-checking of Maintenance activities needed to be done on the various Service Vehicles and Equipment, as preventive steps to avoid down time(s).

6.) Reports all accidents and incidents involving drivers, vehicle or equipment.

7.) Promptly reports any delays due to breakdowns, weather or traffic conditions or other emergencies.

8.) Performs other task that may be assigned from time to time.

III. EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

1.) Must be at least a High School graduate.

2.) Must have five (5) years actual experience as a driver

3.) Special Skills

  • Familiarity with the mechanism of vehicles and equipment

  • Knowledge of suppliers where spare parts are available.

  • Knowledge in Driving and possesses a valid Professional Driver's License
