Safety Officer

About the role

• We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to join our dynamic team at 11-16 Construction Corporation. As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and contractors on construction sites in Doña Remedios Trinidad Bulacan. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting safety inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards on construction sites
• Developing and implementing safety policies, procedures, and training programs to promote a strong safety culture.
• Investigating and documenting incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards
• Providing safety guidance and support to manager, project engineer, site engineer, and workers.
• Collaborating with the construction team to identify and mitigate safety risks associated with specific tasks and projects.
• Maintaining detailed records and reporting on safety performance metrics

What we're looking for:

• A bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2-3 years of experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, best practices, and industry standards
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to identify and mitigate safety risks
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
• Proficiency in using safety-related software and technology
• Certification in OSHA/IOSH/COSH or other relevant safety training is highly desirable

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php18, Php20,000.00 per month
