Job Summary:The Software QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring product quality across web, mobile, and desktop platforms. This role creates test plans, identifies issues early, and improves coverage to support reliable releases in a fast-moving environment.

What does a day in the life of a Software QA Engineer look like?

  • Plan and execute manual and automated test cases
  • Validate release builds across platforms
  • Report, track, and verify bugs with engineering teams
  • Support regression, functional, and performance testing
  • Improve test coverage, documentation, and automation opportunities
  • Help establish quality standards that scale with product growth
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Meet or exceed performance targets for related KPIs
  • Continuously improve knowledge of products, services, and processes by participating in training programs and continuous learning modules
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed
  • Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and colleagues at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What are the qualifications of a Software QA Engineer?

  • Minimum of 2 years of software QA experience
  • Experience with manual testing and automated tools
  • Understanding of regression, functional, and performance testing
  • Familiarity with QA across mobile, web, and cross-platform builds
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience with Cypress, Selenium, or Jest preferred
  • CI/CD test automation and familiarity with Jira or TestRail a plus
