About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bread and Pastry Chef to join the team at The District Boracay, a leading hospitality establishment located in Boracay Island, Malay Aklan. As a full-time Bread and Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and delivering high-quality baked goods and pastries to delight our guests.

What you'll be doing

  1. Preparing a variety of breads, pastries, and desserts from scratch using fresh, high-quality ingredients
  2. Ensuring consistently high standards of presentation and taste for all baked goods
  3. Collaborating with the culinary team to develop new and innovative menu items
  4. Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient work environment in the pastry kitchen
  5. Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations
  6. Providing mentorship and training to more junior members of the pastry team
  7. Familiar with Inventory and Cost Control Practices

What we're looking for

  1. Proven experience as a Bread and Pastry Chef, preferably within the hospitality industry
  2. Strong technical skills in baking and pastry preparation
  3. Creativity and an eye for artistic presentation
  4. Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
  5. A passion for using the freshest, high-quality ingredients
  6. Strong team player with excellent communication skills
  7. Ability to work calmly under pressure in a fast-paced environment
