At Axelum Resources Corp., they pride themselves on producing world-class coconut-based food products through advanced technology and precision manufacturing. We are seeking a UHT Senior Technician to lead the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of Ultra-High Temperature (UHT) processing equipment used in our coconut water and coconut cream production lines.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring continuous, efficient, and compliant operations of our UHT systems. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in aseptic processing and packaging technology, exceptional problem-solving skills, and proven leadership in supervising technical teams in a food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision:
- Lead and supervise UHT technicians to ensure efficient workflow, timely task completion, and consistent operational performance.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance, mentorship, and regular training on equipment handling and maintenance.
Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of UHT processing and packaging systems, including Tetra Pak equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and automation issues to minimize downtime.
- Monitor machine performance and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
Installation & Commissioning:
- Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of new UHT machines and ensure they meet operational and safety standards.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance teams for equipment setup and validation.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, performance metrics, and spare parts inventory.
- Prepare and submit maintenance and downtime reports as required.
Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce strict adherence to safety standards, PPE usage, and food-grade cleanliness protocols.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, FSMA, and company policies during operations and audits.
Continuous Improvement:
- Analyze processing data and develop preventive measures to improve system efficiency and reduce equipment failures.
- Participate in improvement projects, audits, and company events as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or any related technical field.
- At least 5 years of experience in troubleshooting, servicing, and maintaining Tetra Pak Packaging and Processing Equipment (A3Flex, A3Compact Flex, VTIS Sterilizer, Homogenizer, Pasteurizer, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of aseptic packaging and processing technology.
- Proficient in PLC systems (Rockwell Automation), CMMS, and performance data interpretation.
- Experienced in supervising preventive maintenance teams and planning annual maintenance programs.
- Trained in safety and PPE compliance, boiler and pressure vessel operation, water and wastewater treatment, HVAC maintenance, energy management, environmental compliance, and leadership development.
