About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Code Auditor to conduct a short-term technical audit of our existing codebase. The successful candidate will perform a comprehensive review focused on code quality, architecture, performance, security, and best practices. This role is ideal for a highly skilled engineer who is able to quickly analyse systems, identify issues, and provide actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct an end-to-end audit of the codebase across Phoenix/Elixir, TypeScript, and Supabase components.
  • Evaluate code quality, structure, maintainability, and adherence to engineering best practices.
  • Assess system performance, architecture, database design, and API implementations.
  • Identify bugs, vulnerabilities, inefficiencies, and architectural risks.
  • Review documentation, workflows, and integration points.
  • Provide a clear, prioritised report summarising findings and recommended improvements.
  • Present insights and clarifications to the internal team as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong expertise in Phoenix (Elixir) development and ecosystem.
  • Advanced experience in TypeScript, including backend and/or frontend integration.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Supabase, including authentication, database, and edge functions.
  • Proven background performing technical audits, code reviews, or system assessments.
  • Solid understanding of software architecture, security fundamentals, and scalable design.
  • Ability to deliver detailed technical insights within a short time frame.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical findings into actionable recommendations.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience working in cross-functional product teams.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems and cloud-native platforms.
