Job Title: Revenue Cycle Manager / Medical Coder – Remote

Location: Remote (supporting Austin, Texas clinic)

Salary: Up to $10/hr (RCM Manager) | Up to $8/hr (Medical Coder)

Employment Type: Full-time

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Revenue Cycle Manager (RCM Manager)

  • Lead billing, coding, and collections teams
  • Optimize cash flow, reduce claim denials, and improve AR days
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to streamline workflows
  • Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with payer requirements
  • Monitor key metrics: clean claim rate, denial resolution, net collection rate
  • Train and mentor staff on EHR systems, billing updates, and coding

2. Medical Coder / Revenue Cycle Specialist

  • Process electronic and paper claims, verify accuracy, and submit timely claims
  • Post payments and reconcile accounts with EOBs
  • Manage denials and corrected claims, including appeals
  • Generate productivity and financial reports for leadership
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, payer rules, and billing standards

Qualifications:

  • RCM Manager: 5+ years in outpatient billing & revenue cycle, Athena experience preferred, coding certification (CPC/CCS) a plus
  • Medical Coder: 3+ years medical billing/coding experience, licensed medical coder, proficient in EHR/billing systems
  • Strong Excel/reporting skills, attention to detail, excellent communication, and ability to work independently
