Job Overview

The Nutritionist will play a key role in ensuring that Moment Catering delivers nutritionally balanced, safe, and compliant meal plans for clients. This role oversees menu planning, recipe standardization, nutrition analysis, and compliance with health and dietary regulations. The Nutritionist will collaborate closely with the Operations, Production, and Quality Assurance teams to maintain food quality standards and support client-specific dietary requirements.


Key Responsibilities
Menu Planning & Nutritional Compliance
  • Develop nutritionally balanced menus aligned with government standards, client specifications, and demographic requirements.
  • Conduct nutrition analysis of recipes and menus, ensuring compliance with DOH, DOST-FNRI, DepEd, and other applicable regulatory guidelines.
  • Create specialized meal plans for clients with specific medical, dietary, or cultural needs.
  • Recommend portion sizes, calorie requirements, and nutrient distribution for different groups and target populations.
Recipe Development & Standardization
  • Standardize recipes for production teams, including ingredient quantities, preparation methods, and allergen information.
  • Work with chefs and production staff to optimize recipes while maintaining nutrition targets and cost-efficiency.
  • Review food specifications and recommend healthier alternatives when needed.
Food Safety & Quality Assurance
  • Conduct periodic inspections of production areas and delivery processes to ensure adherence to sanitary and food safety standards.
  • Collaborate with QA and operations teams to monitor food quality, including taste checks, temperature logs, and storage compliance.
  • Support the development of HACCP plans, allergen management protocols, and food safety guidelines.
Client Coordination & Reporting
  • Serve as a key point of contact for government clients regarding nutrition-related concerns, menu approvals, and compliance reports.
  • Prepare and submit nutritional reports, menu justifications, calorie counts, and supporting documents required by government agencies.
  • Attend client meetings and presentations to discuss menu design, nutritional compliance, and improvements.
Operations Support
  • Assist production and catering teams in implementing approved menus and serving guidelines.
  • Monitor food deliveries to client sites and ensure compliance with portioning and menu specifications.
  • Train kitchen staff on nutrition standards, portion control, allergen awareness, and meal preparation guidelines.

Qualifications
Education & Certification
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.
  • Licensed Nutritionist-Dietitian (RND) required.
Experience
  • At least 1–3 years of experience as a Nutritionist in catering, food service, healthcare, institutional feeding, or food production.
  • Experience working with government clients or compliance-heavy environments is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine dietary standards (FNRI, DOH, DepEd, DA).
  • Proficient in menu planning, nutrition analysis, and recipe standardization.
  • Understanding of food safety and regulatory compliance (HACCP, GMP, sanitation standards).
  • Excellent communication and client handling skills.
  • Strong coordination skills and ability to work with culinary and production teams.
  • High attention to detail and strong documentation/reporting skills.
