Toolman

The Toolman is responsible for the issuance, safekeeping, inventory, and maintenance of all tools, equipment, and supplies used in the workshop. This role ensures that technicians have the correct and functional tools needed to perform their work efficiently while maintaining proper records and compliance with company policies.

• Issue and receive tools, equipment, and consumables for technicians and workshop staff.
• Maintain accurate records of tool issuance, returns, and inventory levels.
• Conduct regular inspection and preventive maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Perform calibration, minor repair, or replacement of defective tools when necessary.
• Ensure all tools are properly labeled, organized, and stored in designated areas.
• Monitor tool usage and prevent loss, theft, or misuse.
• Coordinate with procurement or warehouse for replenishment of tools and supplies.
• Prepare periodic inventory reports and updates for management.
• Enforce workshop safety policies and ensure compliance when using tools.
• Support mechanics and service staff by ensuring tool availability at all times.

• High school graduate, vocational course, or equivalent technical training.
• Experience in toolkeeping, warehousing, or related automotive/technical field is an advantage.
• Knowledge in handling different automotive tools, equipment, and calibration procedures.
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and reporting.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting tools and equipment when required.
• Honest, reliable, and with a strong sense of responsibility.
