Position: Audiobook Specialist

Overview:

The Audiobook Specialist will oversee the end-to-end production of audiobooks and support the publishing department with operational and administrative tasks. The role requires strong coordination, quality control, and familiarity with audiobook production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee audiobook production from manuscript handoff to final mastered audio.
• Coordinate communication with authors, narrators, editors, and post-production teams.
• Ensure all audio files meet technical, editorial, and distribution standards (ACX, Findaway, etc.).
• Manage metadata, file formatting, naming conventions, and submission requirements.
• Monitor schedules, track progress, and maintain production documentation.
• Assist with platform uploads, version control, and release preparation.
• Stay updated on audiobook industry tools, software, and trends.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the Publishing Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Experience in audiobook production, audio editing, or publishing preferred.
• Familiarity with audio formats (MP3, WAV), editing tools (Audition, Audacity, Reaper), and QC processes.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally with authors and narrators.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

• Ability to troubleshoot audio or formatting issues.
