About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented
Finance Specialist
to join our Finance team. This role will be responsible for supporting the financial closing process, preparing reports for management and regulators, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and contributing to finance initiatives. The ideal candidate is a CPA with experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Participate in the financial statement closing process, including preparation and processing of journal entries.
  • Prepare financial and management reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct monthly account reconciliations and ensure compliance with reconciliation standards.
  • Prepare schedules and reports for regulatory bodies such as IC, SEC, BSP, and LGUs.
  • Handle quarterly and annual reports, financial statements, and other SEC submissions.

Internal Controls & Audit

  • Document and update accounting and reporting processes.
  • Assist with internal audit preparation and compliance requirements.
  • Identify control gaps and recommend process improvements.

Support Finance Initiatives

  • Contribute to system implementations, automation projects, and key finance initiatives.
  • Support other finance-related priorities as needed.

Administrative Functions

  • Organize and maintain records and documentation submitted to regulators.
  • Respond to inquiries from auditors, internal stakeholders, and regulators.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Experience in accounts reconciliation and corporate accounting.
  • Experience in financial statement preparation, preferably in a financial institution or Big 4 firm.
  • Familiarity with process improvement and automation initiatives is a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, PFRS, and local statutory requirements.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and priority-setting skills.
  • Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
  • Advanced analytical, comprehension, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
