Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Technical school or vocational courses: At least a 6-month to 2-year certificate or associate's degree program provides foundational knowledge.

Core responsibilities

• Installation: Install new HVACR systems and components, including electrical wiring.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning to ensure systems run efficiently and identify potential issues.
• Repair: Troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems.
• System inspection: Conduct regular inspections and tests on HVAC systems and their parts.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of all work performed, including services, parts used, and maintenance reports.
• Emergency service: Respond to emergency service calls to perform prompt and efficient repairs.

Required skills and qualifications

• Mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and work plans
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Physical ability to perform tasks like lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Willingness to work after hours, on weekends, and overtime when needed
