Job Summary:
- Under the general supervision of the Campus Development, Maintenance & Purchasing Department's manager. Purchasing Staff is responsible for the timely procurement of materials, goods and services for Beacon School, ensuring cost effectiveness.
- The Purchasing Staff provides support to office /department activities with specific responsibility for implementing purchasing activities in compliance with mandated requirements; overseeing activities; responding to a range of inquiries regarding processes or bid status; and achieving the department objectives and goals within budget.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience as a purchasing specialist or in a similar role.
- Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies. Detail oriented.
- Good understanding of materials requirements of a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of industry market trends and conditions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Positive and professional demeanor. Team player with strong organizational skills.
- Flexible to travel to meet with suppliers, distributors and manufacturers as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing, and resource planning systems.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: Php20, Php22,000.00 per month
