  • Preparation: Technicians prepare the endoscopy suite, ensuring all necessary equipment, supplies, and the endoscope are ready before a procedure begins.
  • During the Procedure: They provide direct assistance to healthcare professionals, helping with equipment and maintaining a sterile field to prevent infection.
  • Post-Procedure: Their duties include cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing the complex endoscopic equipment, a critical step in preventing the spread of infection.
  • Patient Records: They may also be responsible for maintaining patient records related to the endoscopic procedures.

Work Environment
